Our client, a global market leader in its industry, is looking to appoint a Customs specialist with people management experience. This newly created position is based in its regional headquarters in Barcelona.
The Customs Manager will be responsible for ensuring global customs compliance work for the group by managing customs and tariff classifications and dealing with country of origin and determinations. The Customs Manager will deliver high value advice to the business to mitigate any risks/costs. This is a global position and the person will be a key contributor on the development of newly set-up customs function.
Suitable candidates will have at least 6 years of customs compliance. This role requires previous experience in a Shared Service Centre / Centre of Excellence environment plus previous team management experience. Fluency in English is essential and communication skills in Spanish and/or another European language would be an advantage. Experience with SAP is also an advantage.
