Director of Tax, e-commerce business, London

Our client an e-commerce business in a fast growth sector is looking to hire a Director of Tax to lead a small but growing tax function reporting to the CFO. They are heavily investing in strengthening the Group finance function and this is an opportune time for a Tax Director on an upward trajectory to join this entrepreneurial business.

* Develop a scalable tax strategy to support the high growth, international focus of the business
* Ensure visibility of the Group's Tax strategies to ensure key stakeholders across the Group
* Be the lead point of contact for regional tax functions and regional CFO's, to develop talent across the regions, share best practice and support on successful execution of Group's strategy
* Ensure effective governance and control frameworks
* Continuously monitor and ensure the Group maintains the optimum corporate structure, ensuring cash tax rates are managed effectively ensuring business needs and legal requirements are met
* Maintain the optimal transfer pricing policy and documentation for the Group.
* Optimising tax effective intra-group funding from the holding structure into operating entities and for the circulation of surplus cash around the Group
* Overview of quarter and year-end tax reporting
* Oversee two tax professionals focused on direct and indirect tax compliance
* Support the CFO on execution of their responsibilities

Technical experience:

* Luxembourg structure experience
* Tax considerations across global operations, supply chain
* Country experience including Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland

Leadership experience:

* This highly visible role requires experience in change leadership, Team leadership, collaboration and influencing and strategic orientation.
