Personal Tax Senior

You will predominately be managing a portfolio of personal tax return clients. This role will also include drafting self-assessment, partnership and trust tax returns and repayment claims and reviewing the returns prepared by junior colleagues.

Main Tax Senior Duties:
• Managing a portfolio of personal tax returns
• Dealing with sets of self-employed accounts and associated taxes
• Preparing Self-Assessment, Partnership and Trust Tax Returns
• Reviewing self-assessment returns and accounts prepared by team members
• Supporting the Tax Manager and Partners
• Managing workload and client expectations
• Supervising staff in the preparation of accounts, providing training where required and assisting with development
• Maintain good working relationships with clients and staff
• Take an active role in business development and promoting the firm in the local area
• Liaising with clients and HMRC

Tax Senior Requirements;
• Experience of working in a personal tax focused environment
• Qualified (ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA) or close to qualification, qualified by experience is also beneficial
• Experience preparing personal tax returns
• Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities
• Experience of managing a portfolio of clients
• Experience of working CCH, Caseware or Digita would be advantageous but training with systems will be provided
