Private Client Tax Supervisor, London Euston, to £50k

AJ Chambers is delighted to be working with a Top 30 Firm based London Euston, who are looking to add a Private Client Tax Supervisor to their dynamic Private Client Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a tax senior to take a step up in a firm offering study support and a generous remuneration package.

The Role

• Look after the day to day running of a mixed portfolio of clients including professionals, partnerships, entrepreneurs, some well-known personalities and some non-domiciled clients
• Prepare tax returns for review by the Manager
• Interface between clients and managers
• Assist with the training and supervision of more junior members of staff
• Assist with the general private client issues and suggest tax planning opportunities for clients within their portfolio
• Communication and correspondence with HMRC
• Communication with and answering queries from clients

The Candidate

• A minimum of 3 years’ personal tax experience preferably within a practice environment, ideally with experience of dealing with HNW individuals and non-domiciled clients
• At least ATT qualified, CTA qualified desirable
• Motivated and ambitious
• Accurate work, displaying initiative with minimal supervision
• A proactive attitude
• Successful work as a team member
• Confident communicating with clients, Partners and colleagues
• An ability to work under pressure and to be able to prioritise
• Good communication skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word applications, working knowledge of Digita Tax software desirable
• Good organisational skills
• Good general knowledge of income tax, capital allowances, employment taxes, capital gains tax and benefits, and non-doms
• A basic knowledge of capital gains tax, treatment of foreign income, capital allowances, tax credits, and inheritance tax
