Mixed Tax Manager (Advisory Focused)

Circa £35,000 - £45,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Public Practice & Tax recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well renowned and leading Top 10 firm who are looking to add a Mixed Tax Manager to the existing team in their Stoke on Trent office.
This varied and diverse role will involve the management of a mixed portfolio of clients which will be made up of both corporate businesses and private individuals including large corporates, OMBs, and HNWIs.
The workload will be focused towards advisory work over compliance to an approximate ratio of 70:30 however this may change slightly depending the successful individuals competencies and aspirations.
The compliance aspect will involve reviewing tax returns prepared by more junior staff for clients within your designated portfolio, whilst the advisory aspect will see you charged with providing an array of tax planning advice to your clients.
A proportion of your time will see you engaging in business development activities to build and maintain both new and existing client relationships, allowing you to take an active role in the growth of your portfolio.
The ideal person for the role will be CTA Qualified and will have significant experience of providing tax planning advice to a range of clients.
CTA / ATII Qualified (ACA will also be considered)
Excellent, up to date knowledge of Tax legislation
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
