In-House Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, Leeds

This is a fantastic first move into industry. Reporting to a senior manager you will be responsible for the annual tax reporting process of this large international group. The role will include preparation of the quarterly figures and annual reporting to the US and also the annual statutory reporting to HMRC, as well other ad-hoc project work. Your key responsibilities will include:

­ Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting under US GAAP;
­ Preparation of the annual UK tax computations, including liaising with the relevant teams in Finance and the wider business to obtain information;
­ Preparation of tax disclosures for UK statutory accounts under FRS101;
­ Involvement in ad-hoc projects.

You should be ACA or CTA qualified or equivalent with a knowledge and understanding of IFRS and tax compliance reporting and ideally knowledge of US GAAP (but not essential). You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to build credible relationships and influence all levels of the Finance team and you must also be a team player with a can do attitude, motivated to get the job done and deliver to tight timelines with the ability to self-manage.

There will also be the opportunity to get exposure to other areas of tax such as employment tax and SDLT. You must be able to research technical points independently, have competent excel skills and ideally a knowledge of alphatax
