This multinational FTSE100 giant, holds a lead position in several distinct industrial markets, including retail. With operations in every continent, it delivers luxury branded products and high value commodities to costumers all over the world.

Following strategic growth, the global indirect tax footprint is expanding, lending to an increase in indirect tax complexity across an intricate global supply chain. The need has arisen for an ambitious Indirect Tax Manager, within the Group Tax Team based in the global headquarters.

This newly created position will have a focus on international projects, strategy governance, transactions and outsourced compliance management. Further, you will advise on the presence and expansion into high indirect tax risk countries and emerging markets. In this commercially exposed role, you will partner closely with the businesses, tax authorities and external advisers globally, working directly into the Global Head of Indirect Tax.

Key responsibilities:
• Provide advice on implementation of global group indirect tax strategy
• Provide advice on indirect tax implications of Group commercial behaviour including; acquisitions, transactions, disposals and restructuring
• Provide advice on indirect tax implications of complex end to end value chains
• Identify and implement indirect tax planning and cashflow optimisation opportunities across all jurisdictions
• Provide advice to the business regarding the tax implications of relevant indirect tax legislation
• Advise and manage external advisors as required
• Provide analysis and advice to resolve historic indirect tax issues
• Raise awareness of tax issues and effectively communicate tax issues to senior management
• Assist with management and review of outsourced indirect tax compliance
• Manage any tax authority enquiries and audits in respect of indirect taxes
• Assist with design and implementation of indirect tax systems and process improvements for compliance risk mitigation
• Identify any opportunities for improved cost management and contribute to the development of the budget

About you:
• ACA/CTA qualified
• Proven Indirect Tax background
• Big 4 training preferred
• Commercial experience or secondment an advantage
• Ability to discuss tax technical matters in plain language
• Ability to work autonomously and manage senior stakeholders
