IKEA UK & Ireland has an exciting opportunity for an Employment Tax Manager to join the team, offering an exceptional opportunity for an individual to work for a leading brand and further develop their career. The chosen individual will work across compliance and projects work whilst acting as the subject matter expert for UK & Irish Employment Tax matters, providing advice and safeguarding compliance governance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for all aspects of Employment tax compliance across the UK and Ireland
* Work closely with internal and external teams; HR, Compensations and Benefits, payroll team, Tax Authorities and Tax advises
* Advising the business on all UK and Irish employment tax matters, ensuring an up to date approach regarding tax legislation and identifying when improvements/ changes to policies and procedures should be made
* Responsible for Employment tax reporting with both the UK and Irish tax authorities, including ROS on line reporting and P11D reporting
* Responsible for the UK and Ireland payroll taxes compliance; supporting the payroll team and Payroll Manager with accurate payroll processing
* Ensuring all benefits are captured and accurately processed from a tax perspective for the PAYE Settlement Agreement, Irish End of Year Settlement, P11D's, Taxable Travellers return, Short Term Business Visitors declaration and Irish SARP return
* Ensuring that the business is compliant with its UK & IE tax/social security obligations and all relevant information is processed accurately via modified payroll for globally mobile individuals and cross border workers
* Coaching and mentoring the Employment Tax Junior
* Support the wider business across ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
Key Requirements
* Solid Employment Tax experience of increasing responsibility in similar/larger organisation. Candidates working in Practice/Professional Services are also encouraged to apply.
* Ability to effectively develop relationships with a range of stakeholders in key business and support areas
* Ability to take ownership and responsibility for a range of tasks
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong and confident communication skills, able to explain complex tax issues to non-finance individuals
* A proactive individual who takes a hands on approach to deliver high quality results and who is continuously looking for better ways of working to develop/improve systems & processes
* CTA qualification
* Expatriate Tax and Payroll experience is desirable.
* The ability to integrate and analyse large quantities of data with the use of excel, (i.e. v lookup's, Pivots, Sumif's extra)
