Hays is proud to be partnered with a Top 10 Chartered Accountancy firm operating across 5 offices in Scotland, to recruit for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager who can be based in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Stirling. Your new role
As an Assistant Tax Manager operating in a Tax Team of 30, you will be responsible for assisting the Manager and Senior Manager with Corporate, Director and Indirect Tax compliance and advisory work. You will manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed business and larger group clients, operating across diverse industries, including large hotel and property management groups. You will prepare Corporate Tax returns, including preparation of Tax accounting disclosures, whilst liaising with finance, commercial and other stakeholders. You will provide business advisory and planning services on all Tax matters, including related projects ranging from share schemes to capital allowances and R&D. Further to this, you will ensure strong financial controls are in operation and be responsible for reviewing more junior members' compliance working, including the preparation and submission of Indirect Tax returns.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Corporate Tax professional who has operated at Senior or Assistant Manager level within a Chartered Accountancy firm. Ideally, you will be ATT, CTA or ICAS qualified with a proven track record in respect to Corporate Tax computations, returns and, preferably, advisory project involvement. This role will involve a lot of client interaction, hence, you will be a confident communicator with the ability to manage relationships.

You will gain a competitive salary of between £35,000 and £42,000 depending upon your experience, in addition to a range of benefits. With flexible working, you will be able to work 8:30-4:30, 9:00-5:00 or 9:30-5:30 and the option to build up time to gain further days holiday.
