The International Tax Manager position involves a combination of both compliance and advisory work for a broad client base including high net worth individuals, trusts, partnerships and corporations, both inbound and outbound clients, in a broad range of industries.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience and will be responsible for overseeing, planning and reviewing transaction assignments; supervising staff, interacting with clients, and ensuring the completion of both compliance and advisory projects.
Your responsibilities will include knowledge of fundamental US international tax rules including residency and sourcing rules, ECI, Subpart F, PFIC, Foreign Tax Credits, withholding taxes, and tax treaties. Advanced level knowledge of inbound and outbound acquisitions, dispositions and reorganizations. Providing technical advice and comprehensive solutions to clients based on research and analysis. Comprehensive understanding of international tax reporting obligations, including Forms 1040NR, 1120F, 5471, 5472, 1118, 1116, 926, 8865, 8858, 8621, 3520, 3520A, 2555, and 8833.. Advanced knowledge of applicable software (e.g. ProSystem Tax, Engagement, etc.)
If you are CPA qualified, or hold a JD or LLM and have at least 8 years relevant experience, 3-4 years of this in a supervisory capacity then this could be the opportunity for you. The ability to speak a second language is desirable but not essential.
