EMEA VAT Manager, Basel

*The role will ideally be based in Spain (various locations) but it could also be based in Switzerland (Basel) or the UK (London) *

Our client is global market leader in its industry and this is an opportunity to join at an interesting time, in this newly created EMEA VAT Manager position.

This is a greenfield role so the EMEA VAT Manager will design the EMEA VAT group strategy, deal with VAT planning in EMEA, work on many different types of projects & have regular interaction with business, supply chain and finance leaders to help solve their VAT issues. The majority of the work will be VAT planning, advisory, audit and project work in EMEA. The role is part of a strong, global tax team handling a range of international projects.

Suitable candidates will have at least 6 years of EU VAT advisory experience. Some knowledge of accounting, systems (SAP) and compliance would be beneficial. Strong technical skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Clear communication in English is essential, other languages are highly beneficial.
