Your new role
Reporting directly to the Partners, your purpose is to ensure the Tax department, currently made up of 3 individuals, operates efficiently and effectively, while monitoring the actions of those responsible for Payroll. You will manage Personal and Business Tax, inclusive of compliance work (approximately 50%) and planning work (approximately 50%). In addition to line management responsibilities, you will also handle recruitment and train new staff, providing strong leadership and professional development. As a senior member of the firm, you will contribute to the preparation and analysis of the business strategic plan, provide WIP updates and KPI reports, and lead operational change.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Tax professional, preferably CTA, CA, CIMA or ACCA qualified, with a proven track record as Tax Manager or Senior Manager within an established Public Practice firm covering compliance and advisory work. You will be able to demonstrate examples of supervising or leading members of a Tax Department and exhibit the ambitious and pro-active qualities of a potential future Partner.
