Corporate Tax Director

Summary

With a client base and tax advisory work to rival much larger firms, our client is seeking new Directors to join the corporate tax team. This will appeal to someone who has a strong technical basis to their success, a broad range of tax advisory skills, a creative thinker and problem solver, with a pragmatic and commercial approach.

Description

Applicants will be technically excellent across a broad range of Corporate Tax areas, self-motivated, ambitious, energetic and dedicated with great interpersonal skills and an exceptional client service ethic. You will be responsible for a client portfolio incorporating all matters; from tax compliance to providing complex bespoke tax advice and exceptional client service for large UK domestic and international businesses.

It is essential that you are comfortable communicating in a concise and timely fashion both internally with Tax and Audit Partners and also externally with clients.

People are at the heart of this business and a successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and act as a mentor and role model for more junior team members, encouraging and ensuring retention and development of staff.

Candidate profile

A comprehensive understanding of UK corporation tax is required, and an understanding of international taxation regimes, including transfer pricing, is desirable.

It may be that you have a specialism in terms of a sector or area of Corporate Tax, which you can develop within our existing client base, but this is a secondary requirement to a very strong broad technical expertise and experience.

You will be ACA/CTA qualified, and/or qualified by extensive experience and have a proven track record of your excellent client service and tax advisory skills.

Although the roles are corporate tax focused, an understanding of the key tax implications of corporate transactions on employees and shareholders, including employment related securities and share option plans is desirable.
