Hays is proud to be partnered with a reputable professional services firm with offices across the UK and clients spanning the globe. Given business development they have created a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join their Aberdeen Tax Team.

Your new role
Working primarily within the Aberdeen office, you will provide taxation services for a range of international organisations within the Oil & Gas industry, gaining exposure to numerous areas of tax: Private Business, Private Equity, M&A, Capital Allowances, R&D, Indirect, Pensions, and Reward & Employment. Reporting to the Senior Manager and Director, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, working with teams based overseas, establishing working relationships, being proactively involved in financial management, contributing to the development of personal and team knowledge, building a network of contacts and remaining up-to-date with business news through internal and external events. As the Senior Associate you will also be part of project teams, whereby you will manage junior and more senior members.

What you'll need to succeed
Holding a relevant professional qualification (CA, LLB, CTA, CAT or equivalent) will be essential for your success, as will relevant experience in a taxation capacity within a professional services firm. The successful applicant will have a passion for international tax and how the system impacts companies within certain industries. You will have to demonstrate a commitment to continuing to enhance your technical knowledge with a willingness to use initiative when dealing with new and challenging work. You will have excellent team work, organisation skills and be self-motivated. As you will be managing relationships the ability to confidently communicate with all levels of internal and external business people is crucial.
