Who we are looking for?
We are looking for experienced Senior Associates and managers to join our private client compliance team. The team, which deals with the UK compliance requirements of HNWIs, trusts and partnerships, is growing rapidly and we are looking for high quality candidates to help service our impressive and growing client list. We provide personal and business tax compliance services to individuals, families with an international footprint, trusts and partnerships. Our role leads us to deal with a broad range of complex compliance requirements focused around the completion of self-assessment tax returns.
About the role
You will be working within a team specialising in delivering private client compliance direct to clients and their advisers.Core focus areas of the role include:
Engagement Management: You will have responsibility for processing and reviewing complex tax returns and other tax calculations within tight timeframes.
Finances:You will be supporting the financial management and profitability of client engagements through maintaining efficiency and highlighting opportunities.
Personal technical development: You will be expected to stay current with technical developments including changes in tax law and legislation in the UK. You will have the opportunity to deepen and drive the technical understanding of a particular area of private client taxation such as trusts, residential property or carried interest disclosure and build your reputation as a subject matter specialist.
Network Development: You will establish your reputation within the firm and the external market as a private client professional and use these networks to identify client opportunities and to assist with growing the business.
The following skills are required for this role:
● Excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written
● Previously worked in the private client tax space with experience of delivering compliance
● Demonstrated ability to develop, train and motivate junior staff
● Experience with non-UK domiciled clients including knowledge of treaties and international tax planning
● ATT, CTA or ACA qualified
