To ensure compliance with all employment tax filing requirements (PSA, Tax Award Scheme etc.), manage employment tax process controls and to provide employment tax advice to the business. The role will allow a mix of compliance and advisory work in a fast moving environment and will involve constant contact with business managers.
Monitor and identify employment tax opportunities and risks for the business.
The successful applicant will develop and improve employment tax processes and controls through close working with Finance, Marketing, Payroll and HR.
Use of data sources available such as SAP and excel to analyse relevant data to ensure employment tax compliance requirements are fulfilled.
Manage queries from HMRC on all employment tax related issues.
Manage relationships with external advisors as required.
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to explain employment tax implications to non-tax specialists both verballly and in writing
Commitment shown to present/past employers
Good communicator and relationship builder
Must be able to work without close supervision
Experience in managing and improving employment tax processes and controls
Sound knowledge of UK employment tax legislation and compliance issues
Experience of SAP and Excel
