A rare opportunity to join a leading Customs and Trade team in South East Asia! The position is located in Hanoi, Vietnam with a local and regional remit working on a number of large and exciting Value Chain transformation projects with member firm offices across South East Asia. The firm is at the forefront of Customs and Trade automation and technology solutions and have been actively investing in new solutions and artificial intelligence systems to streamline the Customs operation.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Researches customs related regulations, specifically duty incentive, import-export control, HS code classification, C/O, customs valuation and customs procedures
* Flexibly and creatively applies the regulations into clients' cases and recommends own opinions and positions on potential customs issues to tax managers
* Drafts tax advices and reports
* Develops and maintains distinct relationships with clients' personnel
Requirements for the role:
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customs tax related or logistics related field
* Fluency in English, Vietnamese language skills highly advantageous
* Occasional travel across South East Asia
* Any previous experience in Technology solutions is highly advantageous
