JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Payroll Tax Analyst will:

Execute and/or review operational reconciliations, audit reports and resolve variances
Lead with the design and document management for payroll tax procedures to ensure complete, accurate, and up-to-date depiction of processes
Review, follow, and provide input to payroll team objectives
Provide ideas, solutions, and tools to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of payroll tax and finance processes
Communicate regularly with Payroll Tax/Finance Management and team members regarding task and/or project status updates and opportunities to improve service levels or processes
Escalate issues as appropriate to ensure quality service levels
Participate in and support departmental initiatives
Perform other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS

7+ years of Payroll and Tax-related experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Taxation
Experience with Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Tax reconciliations
Experience with Mergers & Acquisition activities, including UI account management
Experience working on Payroll-related projects
Knowledge of standard business practices and project management concepts.
Working knowledge of ERP systems
Microsoft Office/Suite proficient
Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized

Desired Skills

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, and/or Taxation
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
Strong working knowledge of ADP Tax Reconciliations and Year End Processes
Strong working knowledge of Federal, State and Local Quarterly Tax Processes
Solid knowledge of US Payroll Tax laws
Previous experience with Payroll modules
Experience in a Shared Service Center environment
