Group Tax Accountant - FTSE 250 Retail Company - Northamptonshire - £45k-£55k

Role

Robert Half are hiring for a Group Tax Accountant for a FTSE 250 blue-chip retail company in Northamptonshire. This is a full-time permanent position.

Reporting into the Group Tax Manager, the Group Tax Accountant will fulfil a wide-ranging tax role for this large group. Focusing on UK tax issues, the Tax Accountant will look after a range of different tax affairs for the business, including corporate tax, indirect tax, VAT, payroll and employment taxes (PAYE and P11D), R&D tax credits, SAO, Stamp duty and land tax (SDLT), Construction industry scheme (CIS).

The role is a healthy mix of compliance and advisory - Perhaps 70% compliance and 30% advisory overall over the course of the year.

As such this is an excellent opportunity to join a blue-chip FTSE business in a wide-ranging tax role with a decent advisory/project element.

Profile

The company are looking to hire a Tax Specialist who is strong in UK corporate tax issues. Experience in VAT/indirect tax is beneficial; Experience in other taxes is not required.

The successful candidate is likely to be a recently qualified tax accountant (ACA / ACCA / ICAS) or tax advisor (CTA), or will be part-qualified and soon to qualify.

This is a brilliant first move into in-house for a tax professional looking to join a large, successful business; or equally would be a good opportunity for someone currently working in industry who wants to broaden their tax skill-set or join a larger company.

Salary & Benefits

Salary is likely to be in the region of £45,000 to £55,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits package.
