Tax Planning Manager - In-house, Berkshire

A well known pharmaceutical giant based in Berkshire are looking to expand their tax team and have a different and varied opportunity available that you rarely see in the tax space especially in a business of this size.

As Tax Planning Manager you will be responsible for supporting tax planning for a specific group within the business. You will be part of a small team of tax planning professionals and partnering with business partners. The role offers international responsibilities and is purely advisory based. This role is great as it is varied between tax and accounting duties and can open doors to move deeper into tax or more of a traditional FC role as a next step. Progression is also available within the business.

Examples of duties you will be involved in are:

* Lead data preparation and review for business effective tax rate.
* Implement and help develop tax planning including IP planning.
* Own group administration of external arrangements, budgets, controls and processes.
* Work with a network of external tax advisors and provide tax education across functions and the broader tax community.

To be considered for this role you must be a fully qualified accountant, international qualified accountant, Chartered Tax Advisor or equivalent. You must be able to understand VAT patterns and provide solid tax guidance and recommendations. You must also have solid international tax/transfer pricing knowledge. Ability to switch priorities quickly and adapt in a fast paced environment is essential.
