This Top 10 professional services company based in Birmingham are seeking a Tax Senior or Assistant Manager within their Private and Owner Manager Business department to provide a broad range a of tax advisory services to a premier client base. The company is seeking to expand the current team due to growth in the market.
Your new role
The Tax Advisory Senior or Assistant Manager role will involve providing a broad range of services covering elements of private client and corporate tax, CGT, IHT, succession planning, and stamp duty. You may also be expected to mentor and develop junior members of the department as part of the role. Full on the job training will be provided for areas where candidates do not have significant practical experience. The range of clients cover private businesses, public sector entities and wealthy individuals. The work environment is very open, whilst encouraging and fostering a close team bond and creative thinking. The role is based in Birmingham and provides some flexible working arrangements, with early starts/finishes or remote working being optional. The opportunity will also give the successful individual a chance to lead, guide, and leave an open pathway for managerial progression as demonstrated by their current team.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to thrive in this role, you would preferably be CTA qualified, although ATT, ACA, and ACCA qualified individuals would also be considered. There is also further study support available i.e. CTA. It is also desirable to have some tax advisory experience, although significant demonstrable tax compliance would be considered. Importantly an open, warm and empathetic attitude to internal and external relationships is valued highly within the company.
