A client of ours within the Insurance sector is recruiting for an Assistant Tax Manager within their offices based in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a Tax professional to make a move in-house within a multinational firm.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with direct tax compliance (using SOX) by ensuring statutory tax returns (including US 5471 returns) are produced in an accurate and timely manner.
* Co-ordinating in-house tax specialist teams such as VAT, employment, transfer pricing and employment taxes.
* Assisting with US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP reporting across the EMEA region.
* Maintaining and developing strategic relationships with internal and external advisors in order to support the delivery of tax advice to business and finance organisations.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience within the insurance, financial or accounting industry. Significant experience with UKGAAP, USGAAP and/or IFRS is essential. You should be able to identify, communicate and asses relevant issues, be a team player and have strong financial acumen with tax accounting experience.
Qualified chartered accountant/chartered tax advisor.
