Leading big 4 firm is looking for an ambitious Senior Manager to join a successful market leading Financial Services Indirect Tax team. This is one of the world’s leading professional services organisations and as a Senior VAT manager you will be able to work and communicate closely with senior tax specialists within the firm’s leading financial services clients.
The role has become available due to market growth and the need for additional resource to take a key role in delivering a strong pipeline of work. The role will be primarily focused on delivering first class Indirect Tax consulting services to a diverse client base of leading multinational and national Financial Services clients, and develop work opportunities and to manage junior staff.
The team has a very diverse client base which provides significant opportunities to enhance existing indirect tax learning and knowledge, and provide challenging opportunities. They work closely with clients operating across all areas of FS, including Insurance, Banking, Asset Management, Private Equity and Alternative sectors. The FS Indirect Tax team primarily assist clients on VAT, IPT and other indirect tax matters, and cover a varied range of work assignments, including national and international projects, tax disputes, business transformation projects, Indirect Tax claims and client driven consultancy opportunities. All members of the team work closely with colleagues in Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing, Employee Tax, Assurance and Consulting teams.
The ideal candidate will have ideally gained significant financial services experience either in practice or in industry, although this is not a pre-requisite. What is important is that the candidate has a high level of Indirect Tax technical knowledge

• A proven history of delivering high standards of quality work for clients; demonstrating a thorough understanding of client business and commercial knowledge
• High standards of Indirect Tax technical knowledge gained either in practice or industry. Relevant FS experience is desirable but not essential
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with other FS Indirect Tax team members and the wider Tax team, specifically in negotiating with and influencing others
