Exciting pan-EMEA advisory role with a leading Fortune 500.
3M are a market leading, science-based technology company, with a commitment to innovation and ethics. They are listed on NYSE, with sales of $30bn in 2015. Due to continued internal demand the business is seeking to hire a new Indirect Tax advisor to work closely the EMEA Indirect Tax lead. The position will play a pivotal role in delivering technical consultancy support, as well as compliance oversight, across the EMEA region. This is an ideal role an experienced VAT advisor, either from a consulting or in-house background.
The role
* Advise business units on VAT issues, ensuring tax risk is managed appropriately for all commercial and corporate operations.
* Conduct risk and control analysis for indirect tax processes and identify areas where controls can be enhanced.
* Contribute ideas to the VAT/Indirect Tax strategy of the wider group.
* Provide support managing the EMEA compliance process across multiple jurisdictions, including review and submission of VAT returns.
* Support internal and external audits.
* Act as a point of contact for tax authorities, dealing with queries.
* Provide ad hoc support to other tax team members where required.
About you
* Strong stakeholder management skills.
* European VAT experience is essential, and any experience with Swiss VAT is also beneficial.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
* Previous experience with SAP or OneSource is beneficial.
