Your new organisation
My client is an audit team part of central government. The team are responsible for the shared management of European Structural & Investment funds in Wales, in partnership with the European Commission. These funds support investments in business competiveness, research & innovation, renewable energy, regeneration, strategic infrastructure, skills and employment. Due to the absence of a permanent member of staff they are looking for a auditor for an interim contract until January 2018.
Your new role
You will report to a senior auditor and work as part of a team of auditors responsible for auditing European Structural & Investment funds. You will be responsible for undertaking a number of EC Structural Fund audits ensuring completing within set timescales. You will be expected to arrange, plan and deliver audit work without direct supervision and may be required to travel to different audit locations. A small number of overnight stays will be included within this role. This job is full-time, 37 hours per week.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven history of auditing EC Structural Funds in either a previous audit or compliance role and possess strong communication and team working skills. You will have access to your own vehicle, be able to work independently and prepared to undergo WG security clearance.
