Assistant Tax Manager role at multinational household brand, based in West London, salary up to £50,000

This global retail company are the market leaders in their industry. With their UK & Ireland revenue topping £2bn and with a number of recent senior strategic hires aimed at continuing to grow revenues and market share the group are now looking to recruit an Assistant Tax Manager to their team.
Your new role
This is a newly created role as part of the growing Tax team within the Finance function and will provide specific subject matter advice and compliance on all corporation tax related matters in the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will be part of a mixed team providing advice to the wider business on VAT, employment tax and corporation tax, and welcome candidates from either professional services firms wanting to make their first move in-house, or someone in an existing in-house position seeking a new challenge with excellent opportunities to progress. You will manage the accurate and timely preparation of corporation tax return filings for both UK and Irish Groups, with the support of external tax advisors. A key part of the role will also be to focus on the latest developments within Corporation Tax, such as analysing the impact of new legislation, reviewing Transfer Pricing documentation and working with our external consultants on optimising Capital Allowance claims. The successful candidate will also have the option should they wish, to develop their career by getting involved in other taxes such as VAT, employment tax, or business improvement projects as part of the UK and Ireland Finance function.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a driven individual with good attention to detail and a can-do attitude. You will be ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or part-qualified and have previous experience working in a Corporate Tax role. Experience of Irish Corporation Tax is desirable but not essential.
