As a key member of its in-house tax team, you will be responsible for managing the company's employment tax position in the UK as well as supporting employment tax planning and compliance in non-UK locations. You will work closely with payroll teams, wider finance colleagues, HR colleagues and the leaders of the business. This is a truly business facing role which will see you advising on employment tax issues and also engaging on a personal level with regards to the company's tax efficient remuneration planning and share equity. The role will be based near Cambridge however involve travel to London one day a week and the occasional trip overseas.
To succeed in this role, you will ideally be ATT and/or CTA qualified and have gained significant employment tax experience either in a Big 4, Tier A or in-house environment. In addition to the technical work you will undertake, an integral part of this role will be internal networking and giving presentations so an aptitude for public speaking will be key. You will have one direct report so prior people management experience would also be advantageous.
