JOB DESCRIPTION
The Tax Administrator will:
Receive and review correspondence from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state taxing authorities
Draft basis response letters under supervision of tax department team members, then finalize and file letters
Create and track engagement letters with service providers
Respond to notices from third party counterparts to assist with questions regarding billing and payment
Assist with Tax Department budget and expense tracking
Prepare tax forms / notices and other internal forms, as necessary
Assist with scheduling meetings
Maintain compliance calendar daily, including: keeping track of tax returns to ensure timely delivery; preparing materials (files and checklists); and, due dates
Maintain and organize filing system
Coordinate and assist with ad hoc projects
REQUIRED SKILLS
3+ years of Administrative experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Tax background
Previous experience in a Leadership role
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
