The Lancashire office of this award winning, ranked firm of Chartered Accountants are looking to recruit an experienced VAT specialist to join a successful tax department.
Providing VAT advice to a broad range of clients that include owner managed businesses and AIM listed corporates, you will be able to master complex VAT issues as well as identify additional potential opportunities too.
The role in brief:
Negotiating with HMRC on VAT disputes
Dealing with all VAT aspects of company sales and acquisitions, including carrying out due diligence, review of DD, review of sale and purchase agreement and providing practical advice
Providing internal support for VAT queries from staff
Ensuring all fees are agreed in advance and are billed promptly
Delivering presentations at seminars
Preparing and delivering pitches for new clients
Writing articles for newsletters and press releases
Keeping up to date with technical developments and providing updates to colleagues
Communicating opportunities for VAT advice to partners and managers
About you:
Extensive VAT advisory experience gained within a professional services environment
Likely to currently be an experienced VAT Assistant Manager or VAT Manager
Strong client facing and relationship development skills
A familiarity with customs would also be advantageous
