Treasury Regulatory Accountant

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum dependant on experience

Full Time / Permanent

Location: West Bromwich

A new role has arisen within my client's growing finance function for a Treasury Regulatory Accountant. This role will oversee adherence to Treasury Policy, development of liquidity and cash flow monitoring and review of regulatory guidance.

Key Responsibilities

* Review regulatory guidance, updates, papers and supervisory statements and assess impact on regulatory returns.
* Review current procedures for preparing the regulatory returns such as COREP and Bank of England and identify any process improvements or efficiencies.
* Ensure that all procedures are kept up to date and include full documentation of interpretation and assumptions.
* Ensure all regulatory returns have been completed and submitted accurately and in accordance with submission deadlines.
* Mentor and coach junior members of the Treasury Regulatory team
* Liaise with regulators and other professional advisors
* Provide system administration support on the main regulatory reporting system.
* Provide ad hoc support to the finance regulatory team as required.

Skills & Attributes

* Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Ideally experience of working in treasury/financial services
* Strong Excel skills and experience of Access/SPSS/ Business Objects would be an advantage
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Good problem solving skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
