Simpson Booth are representing a leading Professional Services firm who are now looking for a Senior Manager (and Manager) to join their Real Estate group. Working across their Financial Services Tax Group you will collaborate with Transaction Services team, providing tax structuring and tax due diligence support to many international projects. You will focus on providing tax advice and compliance services to UK and International Property Companies and fund managers.

You will gain considerable experience of Corporation tax, capital gains tax, VAT, Stamp duty and overseas tax regimes as well as managing and developing your own team.

The Responsibilities:

The role involves a mix of compliance and advisory services. This may include:

- Driving the tax advice on a wide range of projects and working with large complex clients that have international links.
- Project managing major tax advisory assignments, seeing the process through from design to implementation.
- Managing key client relationships and becoming the focal tax point of contact.
- Understanding the client's business and identifying areas for the provision of tax and other services.
- Carrying out detailed technical research in a variety of areas.
- Managing teams and coaching and developing staff
- Taking responsibility for the delivery of high quality compliance and reporting services for a portfolio of clients
- Developing relationships with clients, TS and overseas teams
- Being involved in business development and proposal activity
- Ensuring all risk procedures are adhered to

The Person:

The successful candidate will have the following skills:
- Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax and an awareness of other tax and accounting areas. M&A tax and/or international tax experience would be an advantage but is not a requirement
- Strong interpersonal skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills
- High level analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice
- Ability to work as part of a team in a transaction based environment
- Strong task and team management skills
- Ability to build client relationships
