Build the internal tax function of the Americas Holding Company. This incorporates all the Americas functions so that the tax requirements of the business are met, facilitating compliance with current tax legislation and the wider group's tax related policies and procedures
Work closely with the product development, legal and operations teams.
Manage the tax compliance processes for the the USA group companies and funds including tax arising at federal, state, county, and city level.
Monitor the non-US tax issues arising out of the establishment and on-going running of the business's collective investment schemes including oversight of the recovery of withholding tax by the collective investment schemes' custodians and monitoring exposure to non-US capital gains tax.
Manage tax due diligence works streams on any corporate acquisitions in the US by the group.
Monitor tax developments which are likely to impact the companies and funds.
Assist in training initiatives on tax law relevant to the businesses to raise awareness of key issues.
BS/MA degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA specializing in tax or a tax attorney.
5+ years investment management PQE experience either in an in-house tax function or in a big 4 practice.
Asset management experience required.
Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
