Regional Head of Tax, Slough

This is a newly-created senior tax postion for our multinational client in Slough.

Managing a small team, you will also manage the tax affairs across the EUMA region including Transfer Pricing, tax audits, Direct and Indirect Tax Management and commercial management support.

You will work with in-house services as well as external providers to optimize, controls and reduce or eliminate potential tax risks in the Region in close relationship with the Head of Tax.

Working with the Head of Transfer Pricing to ensure that TP adopted for each country in EUMA is sufficiently documented and consistently applied with TP principles. You will also ensure justification/availability of supporting TP documentation.

You will drive the tax audit process, managing risks raised in queries by tax authorities, and engaging with tax consultants/lawyers to manage the information collated in-house.

You will complete the submissions for refund requests of excess direct / indirect taxes paid with foreseeable payouts, and review indirect tax compliance and explore possible opportunities in EUMA for reduced direct / indirect tax rates and incentives.

Last but not least you will address tax risks and implications from pre-sales to contract review stages, including supplier side sourcing procurement activities, to ensure tax risks are adequately covered, and continue to educate commercial management and sales groups on tax issues impacting multinational contracts.

The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CTA) with extensive exposure to UK, European and/or international tax markets. We require a strong commercial background and people management experience is crucial.
