Tax Accountant

A Tax Accountant role has become available with an exceptional international entertainment organisation based in Central London. This role offers outstanding career progression for a driven individual who is a leader in their field.

Supporting senior management of the tax and reporting function, this role will have ownership of the tax compliance.

Responsibilities

* Quarterly tax reporting including preparation of the UK taxpacks, review of the overseas taxpacks and tax consolidation
* Preparation and review of the tax notes to the accounts in the UK statutory accounts
* Preparation and submission of the corporate tax returns and supplementary submissions for the UK group of companies
* Preparation and submission of quarterly withholding tax returns
* Obtaining UK certificates of residency for withholding tax purposes
* Review of overseas subsidiaries corporate tax returns and tax payments as required
* Managing relationships with external tax advisors for the preparation of annual transfer pricing documentation for UK and overseas subsidiaries
* Managing relationship with UK tax office and managing tax office audits/providing support to overseas offices for external tax audits
* Monitoring group transactions for compliance with group transfer pricing policies and intercompany agreements
* Managing compliance with global VAT/GST/sales tax requirements including monitoring rule changes and timely registration in overseas territories
* Providing VAT technical advice as required
* Providing employer tax advice as required, in particular in relation to internationally mobile employees
* Identifying tax risks and opportunities arising in the business and proposing and implementing solutions

Requirements

* CTA or ACA Qualified
* High attention to detail
* Confidence in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
* Advanced excel skills
* Large ERP experience (SAP/Cognos Preferable)
