Clark Wood is a specialist Recruitment Consultancy operating throughout the United Kingdom within the Public Practice Accountancy & Tax sectors. Our core client base consists of Accountancy Practices ranging from Big 4, Top 10 & Mid-Tier firms through to independent regional firms and sole traders.
Our client is looking for an experienced corporate tax specialist to work as an associate director in their Reading office to further develop the corporate tax offering.
The successful candidate with have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of a team and, in working closely with the Corporate Tax Partner group, will have the opportunity to help shape the team's growth strategy. The role will involve focusing on the advisory workload working closely with the partners, with some responsibility for overseeing compliance work by more junior members of staff.
The ideal candidate must have excellent technical skills and experience, and have a thorough understanding of UK corporate tax issues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Leading/undertaking, or assisting partners and fellow staff members with, tax consultancy assignment
Liaise with the existing Tax Advisory Group and others across the firm about specific assignments and projects on a regular basis to manage delivery of quality work
Identifying tax planning opportunities, and conveying the attendant potential rewards and risks to colleagues, clients and prospects
Attending new and existing client meetings, building up good working relationships with clients, colleagues, intermediaries and other networks to develop business opportunities
Development of new and existing tax advisory products and services, and continuously develop own knowledge and skills
You will have extensive experience of managing a team, and helping to deliver a very high standard of professional work to a challenging and varied portfolio of clients.
