A global technology company is looking for a skilled and intelligent Federal Tax Manager. In this role, the Federal Tax Manager will be responsible for federal and state income tax compliance including review/preparation of estimate and extension calculations, review/preparation of tax return, and develop/implement process improvements. JOB DESCRIPTION
The Federal Tax Manager will be responsible for:
Preparation of the domestic income tax provision calculations, including preparation and review of all tax-related journal entries
Preparation and/or review of Quarterly APB 28 Effective Tax Rate calculations and their application into the quarterly provision
Ongoing and regular interaction with the research & planning, compliance and audit functions
Preparation of federal income tax return as well as state and local income and franchise tax returns for the team
Management of legal entities, tax calendar, etc. and coordination with Legal, Controllers and Treasury in ensuring SOX compliance
REQUIRED SKILLS
5+ years of corporate income tax experience in public accounting and/or private industry
Working knowledge of Excel
Knowledge of corporate income tax software (CorpTax and FastTax)
Extremely well-organized
Excellent interpersonal skills
