JOB DESCRIPTION

The Tax Manager / Senior Manager will:

Meet with prospective clients along with the group’s lead Partner to assist in determining the appropriate fee structure, establish a plan of action to meet client’s accounting and financial needs and then work with the client to implement
Perform Controller responsibilities for clients, including but not limited to: preparing and/or reviewing financial statements and customized reports; cash flow reporting and budgeting; Trust and Estate Accounting / Administration; and, maintaining information for tax preparation
Manage client administrative services, such as: banking; cash management / bill payment; employee management / payroll processing; maintain personal and official property records; and, client information and document management
Execute other client services as needed, including but not limited to: coordinating asset purchases; sales and financing transactions; contract monitoring/compliance; insurance monitoring and oversight; and, residence management
Manage group’s staff and delicate engagements according, ensuring the staff’s performance is meeting the firm’s standards
Mentor staff in areas requiring quality related improvement and to otherwise enhance their professional development
Consult, work with, and service clients to analyze financial operations / procedures and make suggestions for improvement
Work with the group’s lead Partner to ensure deadlines are met and any issues or discrepancies are reported in a timely manner

REQUIRED SKILLS

7+ years of Accounting and/or Tax experience
Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Accounting
Solid Tax background (Compliance; Individual; Partnership; Research & Planning)
Previous experience working within a CPA firm
Extensive Personal and Business Financial Statement experience
Knowledge of Investment Accounting and Reporting
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
