A highly prestigious Top 20 firm of Chartered Accountants, who are recognised as leading private client advisers as well as one of ‘Britain’s Top Employers’, are currently looking for a Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join their successful London Tax Department. This role will give you the opportunity to undertake a range of challenging work and would be ideal for someone with a solid tax background who is looking to broaden their experience and advance their career.

The Role
You will be responsible for your own portfolio of HNW private clients, which will involve day-to-day administration of the portfolio, including all aspects of compliance, reviewing work produced by junior staff and assisting with planning projects.

The range of work you will be involved in is broad and includes;
• Preparation and review of self-assessment returns
• ATED/NRCGT returns
• Tax computations
• CGT computations on the disposal of securities, chattels and property
• Assisting with planning and all related aspects of looking after the complex tax affairs of a variety of high net worth private clients.

The Candidate
• CTA qualified
• Excellent academic record
• Strong IT skills with exposure to tax software and MS Office essential
• Committed to a career in tax
• Relevant tax experience earned within practice, preferably within a mid-tier environment
• Particular experience in dealing with residence and domicile issues, trusts, partnerships and employment taxes desirable
• Confident in dealing with all stakeholders, including internal managers and partners, as well as clients
• Able to use their own initiative and problem solve
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• Able to provide accurate work in a timely, cost effective manner
• Motivated, committed and flexible and able to meet deadlines
