Trust Tax Manager - Top 100 Firm, London

A Top 100 firm of Chartered Accountants based in Central London are looking to add a Trust Manager to their highly successful Private Client team. You will take on the responsibility of managing a varied client portfolio with the accompanying compliance and advisory work, as well as get involved in marketing and business development opportunities. This is a great opportunity for a trust specialist to advance their career within one of the country’s best accountancy firms.

The Role
You will manage a portfolio of diverse trust clients, delivering tax advisory and compliance to trustees.

Your responsibilities will include;
• Tax compliance for the trusts
• The computational work for reports
• Managing the accounting and tax function of the trust team
• Tax compliance of offshore trusts
• Responsibility for a portfolio of large family relationships
• Demonstrate an awareness of technical risk through well supported research.
• Manage work-in-progress to ensure recoverability targets can be met.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the full range of the firm's products, services and capabilities taking an active role in cross selling.
• Seek to take part in business development activities and contribute to sales pitches

The Candidate
• Qualified CTA, ACA or ACCA. STEP desirable
• Good understanding of trust law and the ability to interpret trust deeds and considerable trust experience
• Proven track record of coaching, developing and mentoring a team.
• Strong IT skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
