JOB DESCRIPTION
The State and Local Taxes Manager (SALT) will be responsible for:
Acting as a source for guidance on complex tax questions and issues
Comprehensive reviews of state and local tax liabilities and identification of potential tax minimization and refund opportunities
Reviewing State tax implications of proposed mergers and acquisitions
Assistance with state and local tax audits
FIN 48 assistance
Preparation of multi-state nexus studies
Reversing sales tax audits
Negotiation of voluntary disclosure agreements
Assistance with unclaimed property voluntary disclosure agreements
REQUIRED SKILLS
7+ years of Public Accounting and/or Private Industry experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
CPA
Strong State and Local Taxes Manager (SALT) background
Working knowledge of Prosystem
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
