Tax Processor, Personal Tax Compliance Unit, Grant Thornton, Northampton

We're looking for speak with Tax Processors for a fixed-term contract within the Personal Tax Compliance Unit, giving you great exposure to tax returns and an entry level role into high-performing tax function within the firm.

Not prior experience is necessary within tax, although attributes listed below are desirable:

Markets
• develops an internal network within the tax department

Clients
• provides general support to the department in the provision of tax returns
• liaises with the client relationship manager and other members of client service team (where in place) to ensure synergy and cohesion in client delivery
Tax delivery
• helps prepare and sometimes finalises accurate and timely tax return work ready for review
• liaises with other service streams and take responsibility for collation of personal tax information when the client is a multi discipline service client
• produces client reports for Manager review

• has an awareness of the firm's risk management procedure and adheres to this
• mitigates risks by involving senior team members, ensuring appropriate advice is sought
• is comfortable on the telephone to HM Revenue & Customs and local offices
Technical competence
• retains sufficient technical knowledge to undertake relevant area of work

People
• is an approachable and respected member of the team who takes a proactive interest in the team's performance and well-being

Operations and results
• monitors own time incurred and undertakes analysis as directed
