Job Description
KPMG’s Indirect Tax group comprises a multi-disciplined team of consultants with backgrounds in finance, tax, project management and risk management. We provide our clients with an integrated, multi-disciplined approach to managing their indirect tax compliance requirements. We also want to grow our trade and customs offering to clients.
Due to continued growth we are currently seeking to hire a VAT professional at Qualified Senior or Manager Grade who will join our Tax practice based in the Belfast office.
We are keen to hear from candidates who possess the following:
A relevant tax, legal or accountancy qualification
Superb technical skills and detailed knowledge of UK and European VAT legislation and case law.
We are also interested to hear from generalist tax professionals with strong VAT knowledge.
Drive in relation to service delivery with strong commercial awareness
Minimum of three years in a professional Tax/VAT environment
A self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
Experience of trade and customs issues would be an advantage
Key responsibilities include:
Responsibility for a portfolio of both UK and international clients
Liaising with clients and advising on all relevant VAT issues including interacting with relevant tax authorities on clients behalf
Responsibility for training and mentoring trainees
Providing VAT support to Directors and Partners on tax advisory and tax compliance projects
Preparing detailed research on VAT technical issues
