This is a very exciting opportunity to join a national accountancy practice in their central London offices. As a Corporate Tax Associate Director you will manage a large and complex portfolio of cases and provide clients with practical and efficient advice.
Staff management experience is essential as you will have the responsibility to coach and mentor managers and junior members within the team. You will also assist the partners in the business development and marketing initiatives and leveraging opportunities to maximise fee income.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for a portfolio of clients, managing the day to day assignments and resolving client queries without direct supervision from the partners
Provide support to senior managers to ensure they get the most out of their teams
Contribute to the strategic direction of the department, and take responsibility for project implementation
Responsible for monitoring, reporting and guiding managers to manage financial billing targets, utilisation and recovery rates and chargeable hours
Agree/negotiate with clients, fees per engagement as appropriate
Plan and control the allocation of staff within your team with a view to maximising overall recovery rates and minimising risk
Build a strong rapport with clients to develop the potential for referrals of work to the firm
Specialise in marketing a particular area(s) of expertise, developing niche markets/ growing and developing the client portfolio
Develop internal and external contacts in order to maximise cross selling opportunities
Take leadership role in a Tax marketing group and produce marketing fact sheets for distribution to clients and targets
Make technical presentations at client seminars
Be involved in the interview process for staff in accordance with the firm’s guidelines
Produce six monthly reports, confirming business development initiatives / activities
Proven specialist technical knowledge, gained within a practice environment is essential.
Proven experience in handling large budgets and working in fee income projects (> £100k)
Results orientated with a strong focus on business development
