Tax Senior, Top 10 Firm - Glasgow

Our client is a dynamic, forward thinking and multi-award winning firm of chartered accountants and business advisors. Due to continued growth the Glasgow based tax team is looking to expand with the addition of a new Tax Senior. Reporting to the Tax Partner and working in a qualified team of tax experts you will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients. You will liaise with Partners across the firm's office network to ensure that clients expectations are exceeded in relation to their corporate tax requirements.

Accountabilities:

All aspects relating to preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
Preparation and review of tax accounting disclosures in company accounts
Tax audit review work
Business tax advisory and tax planning where appropriate
Opportunity to develop specific tax technical skills in areas such as capital allowances, R&D tax credits, dealing with HMRC and international tax services
Ensure that all tax reporting deadlines are met
Liaise with Tax Manager on work flow by maintaining a work plan
Provide sound account/business advice to clients via Partner
Experience, Skills and Knowledge required

This is an ideal opportunity for either an experienced Tax Senior looking for a new challenge or a recently qualified ATT/CTA/ACCA/CA looking for the next step in their career. Candidates from practice, industry or HMRC will be considered.

What is most important is that you will be able to demonstrate effective team working skills, plan and organise your time effectively to deal with work flow; and communicate/engage well with clients and staff at all levels.
