Head of VAT – Financial Services

Nebula Partners are working with a leading asset management firm to identify a talented VAT specialist to assist with the management of the UK and international VAT risks

The role:
• You’ll work closely with the head on indirect taxes on all UK VAT matters and work with the rest of the VAT team on international VAT matters
• You’ll support the business, providing proactive advice on VAT.
• Manage risk and identify opportunities for process improvement
• VAT planning
• Oversee compliance
• Work with the product tax/ operational tax team to advice on the VAT implications in respect of funds
• Support transactions from a VAT perspective and provide input into projects (within tax and cross functionally)
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, both external and external

The candidate
You’ll be an experienced VAT specialist with significant FS experience. Applications are welcome from VAT specialists working in-house or within practice. Experience of asset management, Real Estate and property funds is of particular interest. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and have a good track record of building close relationships with stakeholders.
