This fast growing PE backed technology business has operations in two continents and employs more than 2000 people around the world. With an open, non-hierarchical management style and a strong ‘can-do’ culture, this company is flourishing in the digital age with double figure growth being achieved year in year out. Head quartered in London, there is a need to add a second person to the Group Tax function. Working closely with the Group Tax Manager, you will support on a wide range of direct and indirect tax matters. Furthermore, you will take personal responsibility for advisory projects of your own and be fully engaged with the business.

Key responsibilities;
Assist the Group Tax Manager with project management and research on all large tax projects and business development opportunities including new geographies, commercial transactions and M&A
Providing tax support on client and vendor contract negotiations
Help review and manage the international transfer pricing position
Work with Group Tax Manager to identify, develop and ensure tax reliefs and other value add opportunities are taken account of, for example the UK Research and Development relief
Work with the Group Tax Manager to keep abreast of and ensure the Group is prepared for regulatory changes such as BEPS
Assist Group Tax Manager with enquiries from tax authorities
Coordinate, management and review of the Group’s tax fling obligations and payments in conjunction with external advisors and the Group Tax Manager
Review of quarterly UK VAT returns
Responsibility for ensuring that robust processes and controls are maintained in respect of all areas of taxation
Responsibility with the Group Tax Manager for Group and statutory tax reporting under IFRS

About you:
Proven UK corporate tax compliance background
ACA qualified or equivalent (CTA preferred but not essential)
Good knowledge of key UK outbound tax issues
Statutory financial reporting experience preferred
Able to engage with non-tax colleagues and convert complex tax matters into plain language
Basic VAT knowledge preferred but not essential
Transfer pricing exposure an advantage
An ability to work flexibly on a large number of differing projects
