An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced VAT professional to further their career in this highly regarded Top 10 firm. Working closely with the existing VAT team members you will have the opportunity to broaden your experience and knowledge across a wide variety of clients in the corporate, not-for-profit and public sectors.

The core elements of the role will be to provide VAT advisory services to clients. These will include supply chain review projects, dealing with HMRC, VAT risk reviews, M&A VAT work and cross border/international VAT issues. The role offers clear career progression for the right person.
Responsibilities:
• Proactively manage and develop professional relationships with a portfolio of VAT clients
• Proactively manage and develop relationships with other service lines
• Ensure WIP is monitored
• Provide high quality VAT advisory services from routine queries to large advisory projects
• Support business development initiatives
• Contribute to technical seminars and national VAT practice meetings

Requirements:
• VAT background and experience gained in practice, industry or HMRC
• CTA/ATT or accountancy qualification preferred
• Strong VAT technical skills
• Able to effectively plan, prioritise and complete work to a high standard and to specific deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Works well as part of a team and is able to build effective internal relationships at all levels
• Ability to analyse problems, identify VAT risks and identify solutions
• Able to build client relationships
