Head of Tax Investigations, London

The London office of this international practice work with high net worth and ultra-high net worth non-domiciled clients.

The tax team consists of mainly qualified practitioners with large and medium-sized accountancy firm backgrounds, who provide a comprehensive package of professional services to the private clients.

An opportunity has arisen for an established Tax Investigations Senior Manager or Director to lead the Tax Investigations department in London.

The role in brief:

Working with existing clients on a range of sometimes quite complex affairs, as well as leading business development projects in the pursuit of growing the TI practice.

Providing high level advice and managing investigations and enquiries opened by HMRC, in particular Code 8 and Code 9 cases, voluntary disclosures, providing advice concerning the LDF and the UK/Switzerland, Guernsey, Jersey and Isle of Man Tax Agreements and assisting with extraction from Tax Avoidance Schemes and Time To Pay Arrangements.

About you:

Technically capable, able to build excellent client relationships, win trust and successfully defend client interests with HMRC, negotiating beneficial terms and settlements on their behalf.

This opportunity may best suit someone who is currently working for a Big 4 or mid tier accountancy firm with the requisite tax investigations experience and leadership skills but perhaps lacking scope to progress in their current role.
