Senior Tax Analyst / Tax Manager

Do you possess strong tax and accounting skills? Are you able to adhere to tight deadlines with strong attention to detail? Are you able to work independently to prepare, analyze, and report financial information in a timely and high quality manner? Do you have experience in US tax compliance and experience in public accounting and / or experience within a large US Multinational Corporation? If yes, this job is just for you.

We are currently hiring for a Senior Tax Analyst / Tax Manager for the PMI Tax team.

Ideally, you have a University degree in accounting and advanced degree in taxation is a plus. You are a master of ASC 740 and you have experience using Corptax software. A qualification in CPA or equivalent is required. Lastly, you have excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and are fluent in English, both written and oral.

This role will involve, working closely with PMI Tax members in New York, Hong Kong and Lausanne; PMI Treasury; affiliate / regional Finance Managers; Legal Department; Accounting Research; Internal Controls. External contacts include working with independent auditors and outside tax advisors.

RISE TO THE CHALLENGE

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting with all aspects of PMI’s US GAAP income tax provision and SEC disclosures, including reviewing uncertain tax positions, monitoring tax legislative developments, and providing tax accounting guidance to PMI affiliated entities.

Specifically you will:

- Prepare quantitative models using PMI’s internal financial reporting system and tax software to project the consolidated income tax provision and effective tax rate.
- Assist with the income tax disclosures included in PMI's quarterly and annual SEC filings.
- Assist regional and affiliate finance teams on income tax accounting and US GAAP reporting procedures, including unrecognized tax benefits.
- Ensure compliance with SOX internal controls over financial reporting of income taxes and assist with the related testing procedures.
