Operating in nearly 100 cities across four continents, this $4bn revenue US parented organisation has a lean in-house Global Tax Advisory Team. With a consistent flow of high and medium value transactions there is a need to expand the team and add an EMEA Tax Project Manager with a proven corporate tax background. Working in a small flatly structured team, you will have complete ownership of international deals for a portfolio of internal customers.
You will be Big 4 trained and with significant tax transaction experience. This will have been gained by providing technical advice to private equity, financial services, property or corporate clients. Additionally, you will be able to call upon several examples of international cross border tax transactions where you have played a lead role in the delivery of advice. Key responsibilities:
Identification and implementation of domestic and international tax reduction opportunities across all taxes
Managing domestic and international tax risks and implementation of solutions needed to reduce / eliminate those risks
Manage outsourced compliance, across relevant jurisdictions
Liaise closely with external advisers to co-ordinate outsourced tax services
Monitor national and international tax developments and consider impact on the group and identify opportunities
Oversight of VAT compliance prepared by VAT accountants. Liaising directly with clients and third parties as required to manage VAT risk
Provide and co-ordinate transfer pricing support in respect of ad hoc projects including BEPS project management
Overseeing the preparation of the R&D claims for the relevant jurisdictions
Assist head of tax in integration of new entities and tax issues following mergers, acquisitions and disposals
Support with year end & quarterly reporting
Continuous evaluation of processes, activities, policies, business practices and transactions in order to ensure best practice
Liaising with HMRC with a view to maintaining low risk rating
About you:
ACA qualified in the last few years
Proven background in UK Corporate Tax
Advisory experience
International Tax exposure is an advantage
